Good Shepherd Catholic Church will hold a benevolent bake sale at the Dorn Mill Festival of Trees Friday, Dec. 6 and Saturday, Dec. 7 from noon to 7 p.m.
• Dec. 8: Christmas program during the worship service at 11 a.m. Practice dates for those interested in participating: Nov. 24 and Dec. 1 (dress rehearsal). Christmas lunch will follow at the fellowship hall. Bring covered dish, dessert and/or tea.
• Dec. 13-15: The choir and soloists will perform the Christmas musical “Come Messiah King” at 7 p.m. on Dec. 13 and at 11 a.m. Dec. 15. Following Friday’s performance, there will be a traditional ice cream social. Admission is free.
• Dec. 15: Christmas cards for church members are due. All proceeds will go to the Lottie Moon Christmas offering. Church conference following the worship service.
Thursday, Dec. 19, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Regular open sew session in the Bordeaux Room at Hickory Knob State Resort Park. Bring your project and supplies to enjoy a day of sewing and sharing.

• Dec. 22: The children’s play “Come to the Manger” will be held at 11 a.m. A covered dish lunch will follow the service. Meat will be provided. If you bring a child, bring a gift for that child.
• The Rev. Sloan Gordon will be laying hands on the sick and all who need a blessing from God every fifth Sunday of the month. Worship time is 11 a.m., and all are welcome.
